the idea of the living wall from the first update was re-examined as a system covering the floors and ceilings as well. using pistons to actuate a lycra skin is a more achievable way to create the living wall idea. Two quick examinations were to have one lycra sheet covering all three walls, and multiple sheets for each piston.
FreeShape (Part 1):
FreeShape was the invention of Matt Lynch and Marko Icev. Through utilizing a deployment system for a bundle of actuating pistons any necessary office space can be created. The actuators can set to be desks, walls, windows, resting pods and meeting rooms. This will eliminate the redundancy of un-used areas such as rarely used auditoriums or booked meeting rooms that never end up being occupied. The system will also eliminate heating/cooling costs of those areas and with being able to modify one space into multiple spaces it will cut down on necessary office space further cutting costs. Part 1 illustrates sectional qualities and the conceptual deployment phases of FreeShape.
