The new googleplex is starting to use bio-organic material with a space frame and a lycra material. Two options have been discussed, the ideas of an ever expanding / living design and a constantly decaying yet renewable design. This post examines the expanding / living argument.
Design 1 explores the idea of a living wall which will change the daily environment and exist to motivate workers. If a deadline is missed, the matter will expand faster this impeding on a workers space calling to attention an impending deadline
Design 2 is in very early stages but takes a look at if matter can exist in a room which will grow and start to impact the use of that space, and eventually gets so large that you relocate to the inside of the matter and end up with an ever growing office space negating the need for finding more existing office space when more is needed.
